Antique Car

I made this card for the CDAC MMSC117 (Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge)  It is a fun challenge to enter as it makes you use backgrounds, that you may not think of yourself.  Because this card is for a man, I did not add too many embellishments.  I have gold embossed an image from Priscilla Styles.  Added a gold frame using a Spellbinder Nestabilities die cut.  The background DP is from Cosmo Cricket, and the two colored cardstocks are from my stash.  The sentiments are from Horizon.

The Dancer

This sweetheart of a digi is from Whoopsiedaisy Digi Stamps, and I am entering this card in the CDAC Progressive Challenge for August. I have paper pieced the image, and colored her with copics.  The background paper is from my stash, and I used a Martha Stewart punch.  The flower is from Studio 18.

It is my grandson Justin's 16th birthday to-day, and we had a nice dinner for him at our house last night.
There were seven of us, he and his brother are now over six feet tall so I would say all adults at the table.
I made him a Kenny K digital card with a hockey player as that is his sport, but with a very busy time over the last week I forgot to take a picture of the card before I put it in the envelope.

Girl in Tub

CDAC has a brand new challenge, a Progressive Challenge of 6 sessions, first time period 4weeks, after that two weeks for each challenge, with new images for each session, the images are free if you have entered each time.  The first image I have chosen is by Anne's Digital Art which had the Top Vote for June "Everyone" Drawing Challenge.  It is a sweet image which I colored with copics and Ranger Distress Inks.  The BG paper is from my stash.  The chipboard kitten and the sentiment are  from K&Company, and the lace is from Dollarama Crafts.

I have company for the week end, so will probably not have much time to be on my computer.  My youngest son and his three children are here, while my DIL is away with her friends for the weekend.  We should have a fun time even though it is suppose to rain this weekend.

Looking Out

Another fun digi from Whoopsidaisy.  The girl is a freebie image for the Freebie Challenge CDACFDC29,
which is going on now.  I have colored her with copics and have added some glitter glue to the flowers in her hair and on the ground.  The fence is also an image from Whoopsidaisy and has been colored with Ranger Distress inks.  The flowers on the top of the fence are chipboard and are from a scrapbook kit.  The background was done with a cuttlebug folder.

We were hurrying out of the house this morning, so I added this image very hastily to My Page for the gallery, and I left the challenge tag off.  Hope I can rectify that little detail (haste makes waste.)  Spent the day in Niagara Falls stateside to-day.  ( Don't know why when we are crossing the border, I always get behind the car that gets held up for some reason or another.)  To-day it happened both coming and going.  But we had a fun day anyway.

Girl with Watering Can

I like making cards with little girls or boys on them.  This card is for the CDAC Midnight Madness sketch challenge #114.  The images are from Whoopsiedaisy ( the girl and the arbor).  I colored the image with copics.  The scalloped circle is a card front from I-craft.  The flowers are from Walmart, and come with a tiny pearl in the center.I cut the little girl out and popped her up with pop dots in front of the arbor.

Went golfing with my husband this morning, but the heat was a little too much for him to-day.  Next time we go together he will have to take a cart if it is at all warm.  Otherwise we had a good day, went to Dairy Queen for a treat after dinner.

Dance Party

This is another Kenny K Digi.  His designs are such fun this card is for another one of my grandsons.  Hope he likes it, I know he likes to get together with his friends for a party often.  It is colored with copics and I have again used DP from Teresa Collins - On The Edge.

Last night I planted some flowers in my garden, we moved two years ago next month, every time I dig I try to add some new topsoil, but whats underneath is clay combined with gravel, and pieces of cement.  Eventually,
maybe I will be able to have a nice garden, but in the meantime lots of hard work.  This is a great time of the year to add to a perennial garden as they are all on sale right now.  Trying to get a nice variety like I had in my old garden, but this area is about 1/4 of the size I had before, there is no way I can get that much variety in this garden, but I keep trying.

Rock On

What a fun card this was to make for my grandsons 16th birthday he does play the drums.  It is a digi from Kenny K.  I colored it with copics.  The DP is Teresa Collins - On The Edge.  I hope that he enjoys the card as much as I did making it.

I golfed Monday and to-day scores nothing to rave about.  But on Monday on the course which is in town - we saw a deer first, then a coyote wandered across the 8th fairway (rather large and mangy looking) and before we finished we got to watch a hawk.  It was as good as going on a nature walk.

Merry Christmas in July

What a sweet image to work with.  I entered this  Christmas Card in the CDAC Sketch Challenge28.  I think this is the earliest I have ever made a Christmas card.  This is a Bugaboo Image, colored with copics and Gelly Roll Pens.  Stampendous crystal snow on leaves from Martha Stewart Punch.  Anna Griffin DP and Ofray Ribbon.  Flower soft on the hat.  The sentiment is a small sticker from Suzy's Zoo.

Seem to spend every morning watering the lawn and garden it is so dry here, the rains just seem to keep by-passing us.  This afternoon took my hubby to the dentist.  His appointment lasted two hours and kind of backed up all the other afternoon patients.  A tooth that was in sideways had fused itself to the jawbone.
The dentist said he had never seen that happen before.  Anyway he came through it looking pretty good. But because he can only eat soft foods for a couple of days I feel a little guilty when I eat something he can't have right now.

Birds Nest

I entered this sweet digi from Pattie G in last weeks CDAC Sketch Challenge.  I used all bright colors and paper pieced the image.  The flowers, leaves and sentiment were punched from cardstock.  The flower punch and circle punches were from stamping up and the leaves were from a Martha Stewart punch.  I do like the results, even though I forgot to put the ribbon across the bottom and it was too late after I had it all glued.

When you have visitors, sometimes, it is hard to get everything done, that is why I am just getting around to adding it to my blog now.

The Happy Cow

This digi image is from Marg Kieser, I think it is a happy fun image.  I am entering this card in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC112.   I have colored it with copics, and added 3 different colors of denim dp as the background.  I have the chosen the Keep it simple version of the sketch.
I have not been very active on the CDAC site this week, I have just popped in several times to see what is going on.

I have had company all week.  My daughter and her three children have all been here for the week.  My daughter has been working all week from my house, sending her work to the office via her computer.  Her eldest was going to computer camp every morning, and I got to drive him.  Her daughter was going to gymnastics and they went on their bikes, as it was very close to where we live.  Baby got to stay at home with whoever was still there.  It was a very busy week, but it was so nice to have them here and keep in touch with events in their lives.  I must add some pictures of  Colton to my blog, he is now 10 weeks old.
They both enjoyed their camps, and may return again over the summer for another session.  ( I hope so!)

Butterflies and Flowers

Time for another Midnight Madness Challenge CDAC MMSC110.   I chose the fancy version this time, a very busy card.  The background is a cuttle bug folder which I applied Ranger Mustard Seed Distress Ink to, then ran it through my Wizard.  The leaves are a die cut from Marianne Design.  The butterflies were a stamp colored with markers onto glossy card stock, and then cut out.  The background papers and ribbon are from my stash.  The border punch is from Ek Success.  Small blue geo shape sparklers applied to the ends of the ribbon.  My purple ribbon might be a little too dark, but I like it.

Golfed this morning, great day, just enough breeze so that it was not too hot.  Sure could use some rain,  we seem to get too much rain all at once, or none at all.  Had a nice visit with my nephew, his wife and two little ones ages two and four over the weekend,  They are staying at his parents for 12 days, they are from BC so they were glad to see our sunny weather as they have had nothing but rain for quite some time.  They keep lots of umberellas & rain coats near the front door.  Seemed that last week was very busy, did not get too much done in the way of cardmaking - will have to see what this week brings.

Fair Fairy

This pretty digi is from A Day for Daisies.  I have paper pieced her with DP from Paper Boutique and colored her with copics.  The flowers are from Petaloo, Color Me Crazy and the leaves are a die cut from Marianne.  The stripes and flowers are colored with Memories Mists, Mango Lemonade.  The eyelets are from e-z set.  I am entering this in the CDAC Midnight Madness Challenge MMSC109.

Lady in Charge

This card is for the Bugaboo Whacky Wednesday Challenge.  Love their digis such a variety and some oh so funny.  The challenge was to use three buttons and no DP.
I colored the digi with copics, used a Spellbinders die cut behind the "lady" and for the sentiment.  Just plain purple cardstock for the background.  Used three buttons which I colored with my copics and added two red gems to her purple shoes.  The sentiment came with the image.  Tied it all together with a bit of embroidery thread.

Rained very hard about an hour ago, but there is a beautiful sunset beginning now.

Lilacs

This card is for MMSC 108 Sketch Challenge.  The lilacs are from Stanzbogen Die Cuts.  The butterflies are from Recollections.  The Cardstock and pearls are from my Stash.

Was away last week, golfing for 3 days with a group of 14 had a great time the weather was good all the time we were away.  Card day Thursday, all day.  Friday my husband wanted to go to the Falls and because I am the driver - away we went had a good day there.  Not too much rest over the weekend, so when I golfed this am. at 7:27 - you could tell I was tired - probably should have taken a cart.

Old Fashion Golf

I am going to enter this card into the CDAC Midnight Madness challenge MMSC105, I have chosen the KISS version of the sketch we were provided with.  I am quite pleased with my card.  The image from the Stamp Barn  is embossed, with Stampendous black embossing powder.  The paper has a leather feel to it and the back is a metalic copper color.  It is from my stash so don't know the mfg.  The ribbon top and bottom is one of my favorites for male cards. it is from So-Facile Canada Inc.

The above is a card for my eldest sons birthday, I do love to tease him about his age.  He is retired now, but works under contract.  He does have more time for golf, as he does not always put in a five day week.  He has a very sports minded family, everyone has their own favorite sport including his wife and three boys.  All favor a different sport.  His is triathalons, but is training now for an Iron Man race.

To-day is card day, so must be on my way.  To-day we play out in the country, so on my way home I pass several farms that sell plants.  If it isn't raining, I hope to stop and get some new plants for my garden.

Cute Gardner

Such a sweet digi from Mami Doodles.  I tried to capture her planting the flowers with green grass, a fence, and sky beyond.  The sky has quite dark ridges showing in the photo, but looked totally blue when I added it.  The image is colored with copics.  The corrugated and embossed papers were from a Scrap Pack from DMD.  The other papers from my stash.  The edging was done with Provo Craft scissors.  I am going to enter this in the CDAC Midnight Madness Challenge MMSC104.  I have chosen the plain Sketch.

It is raining here now, but has been a great holiday weekend, with sun and much warmer.  Hope the rain stops so that people can set off there fireworks.   Managed to get some work done in my garden. Now, I guess I should get some work inside done; time to bring out the summer clothes and put away the winter ones.

Blue Daisy

This beautiful daisy image is from Digi Drawn, Maureen Kuppe, CDAC.  I am entering this card into the sketch challenge cdacsc23.  The card is to be simple and to have a ribbon, and a round tag or button.
I colored the image with copics, used papers from my stash and some paper rick-rack instead of a ribbon.

Last night I went to a birthday party for three of my golfing friends.  We had a great time eating snacks and playing Family Feud  - there were 7 of us on each team.  The game is shown on the tv and you guess at the right answers -  our team didn't guess right often enough - and we lost!  I was suppose to go golfing to-night, but it has been raining here all week, and it doesn't look too promising at the moment.

Flissy Fairy

An adorable free image from CDAC Ellephantastic colored with copics.  The wings are colored with Pearlescent & Metallic Watercolors from US Art Quest.  The color around the fairy is put on with a brush it is Ranger Distress Ink - spiced marmalade.  The dp are from Pewter Press.  The lace and buttons are from my sewing cupboard.  I am entering this into the color challenge; the colors are green and orange.  The challenge is sponsored by CDAC Ellephantastic, Helen Laurence.

For the Twins

These cards are digital images from Mami Doodles.  They are so cute, so like my twin great nephews.  Colored with copics.  The background stamp is embossed, the stamp is from Chapel Road.  The die-cut glitter stickers are from Dollarama.  DP & other embellishments from my stash.

My niece and her husband live in California, so do not see them too often.  I am always surprised when I see their children, how much they have changed and grown.  The last time they were here one of the twin boys sang several songs for us, told us he would let us know when to clap.  He was very entertaining - good voice and lots of descriptive hand gestures.

Rainy Day

This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #103 (MMSC103.  The digi reminds me of my grandaughter Kelsey.  The sweet digi is from Mami Doodles colored with copics.  Used lots of colors of  card stock & dp from my stash.  And the embellishments are from Dollarama.

Rained all day here and supposed to rain all week.  Guess there will be no golf tomorrow, so hubby has suggested we go to Fallsview Casino tomorrow - good place to go on a rainy day.

Bird Song

This little bird card is for my niece and also for the CDAC Midnight Madness 102 Challenge.  The digital image colored with copics is from Heart Song Designs.  The dark cs is from Double Mates and the dp is from K & Company.  The greeting is a stamp from Chapel Road Artstamps.

Went to my daughters a week ago to help her pack for a move.  Came home for two days and then we were called back, baby decided he was ready to be born.  They had the last load on the truck when she went to the hospital.  When we arrived there, The main floor was set up, beds made, dishes in the cupboards and the living room was decorated, none of this had been done before she left.  The girls from her ball team had come over and looked after that while the guys were finishing the unloading of the truck.  We stayed and looked after grandchildren while mother was in hospital.  She was there for three days and then we helped around the house with meals, picking up kids from school, shopping, and washing etc. Baby Boy Colton Alister Scott Weese 6lb.1oz. We came home Saturday night.
Went golfing this morning for the first time this season.  The weather was beautiful, but, my score was ugly.

The Golden Birds

Don't you just love the birds an image from Priscilla Styles, CDAC.  I have painted them with Yasutomo metalic watercolors.  The cage is a die cut from Marianne design.  The DP is from K&Company.  White cardstock was put in a cuttlebug folder and through my Wizard. A layer of gold cardstock on a white card. The center cutout was made using Spellbinders Scalloped Circle.

Tomorrow is card day at my house, so I have been busy making a casserol , salad, and a cake for our lunch.
There will be eight of us and we are celebrating two birthdays.  The above card will be for one of them.
I was suppose to golf early this morning, but too wet and cold.  It turned out to be a nice day, but rained later in the afternoon.  We were visiting friends in the afternoon and did manage to sit out on their back deck for about an hour before it rained.  After cards tomorrow we are going to my daughters and staying overnight.  We will help her pack some of the smaller things, she will be moving on Saturday, we will be home then, the younger ones can help with the heavy things.

Sweet Peas

Sweet Peas a very pretty digi from Priscilla Styles CDAC which I  have chosen to enter into the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC100.    My card is almost a duplicate of the Fancy sketch.  I have colored the digi with copics.  I used a cuttlebug folder for the lavender background.  The turquoise DP is Dizzy Dots from Lasting Impressions.  The sentiment is a sticker colored with copics.  The ribbon from Michaels. A Fun   card to make. A great image for spring.

Golden Flower

This card is for the CDAC Midnight Madness Challenge. The sketch challenge was fairly easy to follow this week, though I think this one falls into the plain category. I will be giving this card to one of my fellow card players, her bithday is at the end of the month.  The Flower stamp is from Penny Black and the Butterfly stamp is from Stamp Barn. I colored the stamp with markers.  Brushed a small amount of yellow and orange Distress Ink around the flower.  The navy background paper is from Graphic 45.

Have been having computer problems so have not been posting this past week.  I had to get a new camera and the program would not load to my computer - so for the present time am working on my husbands.  Will be away for a few days, so hopefully I can do some catching up when we get back.

Pump with flowers

The top image is my card using the bottom photo as a guide for colors.  The flowers in the wonderful old pail is a free image from Bev Code, Bee Cee Artistic Digital Images which we can use in this challenge.  I have colored the image with pencil crayons.  I used a corner punch from Carla Craft, usually the string would show all around the 4 edges of the card, but I had not left enough room, so I just added the yellow string to the corners.  The dark brown designer paper is from Stemma,- Damask a Scrap pad kit.  The ribbon is from Micheals.  The metal butterfly and colored cardstock from my supplies.

Basket of Flowers

CDAC Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC96 as pictured above Plain or fancy.  My card leans more toward the fancy.  The beautiful Basket of Flowers image is from Karens Doodles.  The chipboard pieces are from K&Company, Brenda Walton.  The flowers have beads glued in the centers and
all the cardstock and the rhinestones are from my supplies.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart.  This was a fun card to make, but had to keep making my card larger to fit in all the extra pieces.  I don't think this is the best photo I have ever taken, the beads don't show too well.  Will have to work on this.

Think I will stay inside and do some sewing later today.  It is still very cold outside though it is a sunny day. We still have about 4 or 5 inches of snow on the ground.  Suppose to be getting some warmer weather in a few days.  Looking forward to some golf  soon. Our one group has their opening on the 11th of April.

Fancy Dress Fairy

This card is to be entered into the CDAC Embellishment Challenge.  The challenge is to use this free digi from Inktegrity or use one purchased from their blog.  The embellishments are to be buttons (at least three).  I have colored the image with copics.  The Designer Cardstock is from DCWV Nana's Kids with glitter.  I used a zig emboss pen to apply the glitter, it goes on blue, but is suppose to be clear.  When I put the white glitter on it the blue color must have been absorbed into the glitter - thus the blue tinge on the wings.  The buttons I chose to use are small fairies, I cut the shank off the back of them and colored two of them with copics.  I used my EK Success punch for the lattice work down the right side.  I think one of my grandaughters will enjoy receiving this card.

The weather is sure cold here, snowed on Wednesday, and it was windy, a real nasty day.  But it did not keep us home from cards on Thursday, two others went in my car to our friends house.  She lives in the country with a long lane. It's about a 40 minute drive to her house.  Not a great drive on the way, but with the sun out the roads were clear when we came home.  Still busy with curling, we are getting into our finals now.  Our competetive team is in the semi finals on Friday and on Tuesday I am in the finals for our Carousel Series - you play on a different team every week.

In the Kitchen

I usually go from one extreme or another either very bright, or all pastels.  Thought this image from Bugaboo should be in bright colors.  These images are so much fun - hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I do.
Again, it is going to one of my golfing friends for her birthday - soon we will be out on the links.  The DP is from DCWV a pad called Nana's Kids.  The image is colored with copics.  The picture looks crooked because I put a piece of red cardstock behind it when I took the photo. There really is just a l/4" red border all around the edge.

I have been fighting with my computer for the last few days, first my browser (Firefox)  told me to upgrade to their latest program. Every time I went out of my browser, I had to reboot my computer to get back in.  I had to make a few changes to even see my blog. (What a waste of time!)  I like to use google and couldn't get it, and quite a few other minor problems. I finally got most of that cleared up.  Then last night during the night Windows decided to upgrade my Vista - the result was that when I went on the computer it was like a brand new computer, nothing on it, no pictures, no mail, no documents, nothing.  Thank goodness for the restore program, I was able to restore everything to the time of day before the upgrade was made.

Maybe my computer is trying to tell me I should get rid of some excess I have on this computer and make a back-up disk.

Rainy Days

Ever since I got this image from Nana Vic I wanted to use it with this designer paper, but didn't quite know how.  This weeks Midnight Madness sketch challenge is for the front of the card to be divided into two parts.
I chose to do the simple design as there wasn't room for too many embellishments on my card.  The top of the card is DP from Jillibean - Egg Drop Soup.  The large green umberella is in two layers and I have popped up the second one and also an additional pop up in the centre. These don't show in this picture it still looks like one layer.   The lower portion of the card is this sweet digital image from Nana Vic.  I have colored it with copics.

Was going to post this card this morning before we went out for the day, but wouldn't you know it my camera's batteries gave out after I had taken the photo, but before I had uploaded it to my computer.

I thought that we were to have some warmer weather, but did see lots of snowflakes on our drive home from Niagara Falls tonight.  Don't think it should amount to too much though.

Butterflies are always Beautiful

This card is for the Sketch Challenge at CDAC.  The beautiful butterfly image is from Sue, McMahon Five Designs.  The digi is colored with copics and Gelly Roll Pen.  Glitter, Sky Blue & Gun Metal.  DP for the background is from Stamping Up and the Swirls are from a Paper Passport pad by Provo Craft.  Pearls from Dollarama colored with copic marker.

Tonight we start daylight saving time so our clocks are set an hour ahead to-night so hopefully we can sleep in for an extra hour tomorrow morning.

Purple Lanterns

This card is for the CDAC Color Challenge.  The wonderful purple lantern digi is from Crafty Ann's. The colors we were to use were pink, purple and lilac.   I used Purple Glitter Glue from Gary M. Burlin to decorate the lanterns.  The oriental lady stamp is from Sparkle & Sprinkle.  I think she is very pretty, I like the flowers and other decorations in her hair. Used copics to color her.   Gems and DP are from my stash.

Having a very quiet day to-day.  The rain has stopped a few days of it was enough. The creek that runs behind our townhouse is running very fast, I am glad that there are high walls to keep it enclosed.   Curled on Friday and we won - Yea!

Other Theme Challenge CDAC

This was a fun digi to work with.  It is from Design 2 Delight Digital Stamps.  The challenge was to use 2 or more patterned papers on the card.  I used three patterns from Colorbok.  Colored the image with copics.
The greeting is from Chapel Road Artstamps colored with orange copic.  Kept all the colors very bright.

We still have snow on the ground and very cold.  Managed to do some sewing yesterday, got out my serger and sewed around the edges of four receiving blankets.  Took me as long to thread the machine, (used four different colors,) as it did to do the sewing. They did look nice when they were done.  I'm off to curling in an hour so had better go get ready.

Getting Old

A birthday card for one of my golfing friends.  A very funny digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  The image was colored with copics.  Papers from DCWV.

Went out for dinner last night at the Southwest Grill, about two blocks from where we live.  After dinner, we went to the show, saw True Grit which is rated as a 4 star movie.  It certainly was nothing like the old movie True Grit.  Looked like everyone came out of the theater shaking their heads about what they had just seen.

Happy Anniversary Card

This sweet image from Karens Doodles is for the Midnight Madness Challenge MMSC93.  It is also an Anniversary Card for a relative.  All papers from my stash, colored with copics, pearls from Dollarama,
and greeting from Starform Stickers.  Lots of paper placement on this challenge!

Been a busy week with curling, cards and company.  It rained here the last two days, but this morning we woke up with about 4 to 5 inches of snow covering the ground.  Nice and bright outside, but I will be glad when spring comes.

Bunny for a Baby

This cute little bunny is a digi from Priscilla Styles, CDAC.  I am going to enter this card into the Midnight Madness contest, Priscillas group, CDAC.  Although it could be used for Easter, I am going to use it to welcome a new baby.
Background paper is from Deja Views "Sharon Ann" Collection.  The yellow dp which was cut with a Spellbinders Nestabilities die is from K&Company, Seasonal Paper.  The bunny was colored with Pencil Crayons.  The Blue wiggly stickers were from Frances Meyer, and the feet embellishment and the Rhinestones were from my stash.

We have a few inches of snow, but it going to rain to-morrow so the snow will soon be gone.  My daughter gave me about half an hours notice that she and three children were going to stop by for dinner -  Thank goodness Chinese take-out is very close by.  It was a good evening, a no stress meal and so great to see the kids.  They didn't stay too late, they still had a 2 hour drive home.

Humming Bird

Love this swirling hummingbird.  It's an Inkadinkado rubber stamp from Hero Arts.  The inner circle cut with Coluzzle and the outer scalloped circle with Spellbinders Nestabilities.  The DP, Flowers, and silk butterflies are from my stash.  The Rhinestones are from Melissa Frances, Vintage Attic Treasures.  Made for a friend in my card group, but she was under the weather with a bad hip so was not at our card day on Thursday, but hopefully will be out next Thursday.

I thought with the snow storm that was forecast for this morning that I would be staying home, but the weather forecasters were wrong again and it did not amount to much.  Just a few inches of snow which had mostly melted by noon.  I curled to-day but sad to say we lost.  We had a good time and a great gab fest over coffee afterwards.

Luck of the Irish

I entered this card in the Sketch Challenge for CDAC hosted by Deedees Digis.  I used the freebie provided by the store.  I followed the sketch just as it was.  Using paper that I had on hand and coloring the wonderful pot of clover with copics.  Trying to match the snail with something I used mauve copic and mauve cardstock at the bottom.  A fun card to make as my husband's birthday is on St.Patrick's Day.

Flower Girl

This is a card I did for the CDAC Embellishment Challenge - you had to use rhinestones and lace and a digital image provided for the challenge or one from the hostesses store.  I used the free image from VN Digital Art and colored her with copics, pink cardstock from Micheals, white cardstock put through the cuttle bug folder, lace from fabricland and rhinestones from my stash.  Keeping the card plain and simple.  A card I will be able to use for one of my grandaughter's birthdays.

Valentine Cards

I don't make or send Valentine Cards myself, even though I had quite a few stamps and paper to do so.

Last year my grandaughter decided that she would like to make cards for her class, this was early in the evening and she was leaving our house the next day about noon to go home.  I got out valentine papers, stamps, inks, and embellishments.  We decided that a triangular piece of paper on either side of the front of the card, a stamped and coloured image on the other side of the front and some embellishments would work.  On the inside we stamped Happy Valentines Day.  My daughter Cheryl went to bed before Rachel and I had finished working on the cards.  Cheryl was doing some stamping  and Rachel was coloring and putting the embellishments on where we thought they were needed.  We finally finished about 1:30 in the a.m., but we had 28 cards ready to go.

The top pictures are samples of some of the finished cards.  The bottom is Cheryl and Rachel proud of their handiwork from the night before.  I sent most of the stamps and lots of paper and and embellishments home with them.
