On the Farm

One of our best friends has been in a nursing home now for a couple of years.  He farmed all his life, milking cows morning and evening everyday.  When I make him a card I always try to include some things from the farm.

The background for the scene which I colored with copics  is from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  The red Tractor is a digital image from I Brake for Stamps.  The sentiment is layered and is from Recollections.  The DP, the cow  which is a sticker, and the rick rack on the bottom of the card are from my stash.

We have been so lucky that we have not had any flooding in Burlington like they have had in Toronto.  We had a heavy rain this afternoon, but it passed through very quickly.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Summertime Fun

I love this image from Mo's Digital Pencil it is called Gloria at the pool.  The image is colored with copics.  She is framed with a Spellbinder's die called leafy squares. The sentiment die is from Sizzix. The DP is from DCWV and does have a lot of glitter on it which does not show up too much in this photo. The flower and the beads on a ribbon are from my stash.

Anyway, this card is for a friend that there is a party for tomorrow night, so must get it in the envelope, as I will be away most of the day to-morrow.  Hope it doesn't rain, as it is to be a barbecue!  The party is only about two blocks from where I live, so I will be able to walk over and will not have to worry about parking.

I am entering the card in the following challenges:

Belli Challenge - Stars

Paper Make Up Stamps - Vacation

Crafts and Me Challenges - Anything Goes

Rhedd and Rosies - Here Comes Summer

Country View Challenges - Summer Sizzle

The Sitting Ballerina

Another sweetheart of an image from Digi Stamps for Joy, Artist - JenLee.   It takes a lot of Girl Power to get up on those toes and stay there!  I have colored her with copics and cut around the image leaving some white.  The die cuts at the top are from Joy Crafts.  I used my coluzzle for the two ovals.  The sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  The cardstock, ribbon and the charm are from my stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

Pennys Challenges - Girl Power
Crafting By Design - Anything Goes
Country View Challenges - Die Cuts
Crafty Friend Challenge - Use a Charm
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
