A New Family Golf Chick

My son decided to buy his wife golf clubs for Christmas last year because he really wanted her to join him on the links.  So over the summer she has spent quite a few days with him and their boys trying to keep up with them on the golf course.  Sounded like she enjoyed her summer and fall out there, so I figured this card would be appropriate for her birthday this year:

She was here for a small family party and yes she did enjoy the humour of the card!

The image is from Karen Middleton and I have coloured it with Copics.  The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders die and decorated with butterflies and stars from eksuccess.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything goes with optional twist Hello
Cards Galore - Anything Goes
Crafting For All Seasons - Birthdays
Fab 'n' Funky - Happy Birthday
Inky Chicks Blogspot - Down on the Farm
Open Minded Crafting Fun - Birds or fowl of any kind

The Journey

It's my grandsons birthday and he is turning 21.  He has decided to leave Burlington, Ontario and move to Calgary, Alberta.  He has a truck and a trailer as shown on the card.  We hope that he will be able to get suitable lodging and work when he arrives.  Don't know if he is taking his dog with him or leaving it for mom to look after until he gets settled.  His girl friend was transferred to Calgary by the Company she works for.  I do hope everything will work for them and that they will enjoy their new surroundings. Should take them three or four days to get there.

Used a google map as the background for my card - the route shown is the shortest one even though it takes them through the U.S.  (Hope they both have passports.)  Just added three sentiments and the truck silhouette along with the red dot stickers.

He does have a job here and I hope that he will be able to pick up something in the same line when he gets there.  He will be missed he is such a nice young man.  My friends are always calling him to take junk to the dump or move some furniture for them.

Ghoulish Boy

At last I think I'm ready to start posting again, away for a few days with hubby and then company over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Great weekend visiting with family, and enjoying too much food and drink!   Even felt better so that I went out to curl on Tuesday morning we won!  My first game of the season, got spares until my leg healed.

This image is from  Mo's Digital Pencil and was so much fun to colour with my Copics and I paper pieced the clothes.  Spellbinders die cut and used Hero Arts little inker for the background colour inside the die cut.  DP from K& Company - stamped sentiment and cat from my stash.
