Christmas Candle

My second card for Lady Anne's Christmas Card  Progressive Challenge.   This very pretty image was from Crafting With Jack.  I colored it with copics.  The designer cardstock is from K & Company.  The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps.  The edge punch is from Martha Stewart.  It is so nice to get a head start on this years Christmas Cards, as I am usually a do it at the last minute kind of person.

We are suppose to get a giant snow storm here over the next couple of days, but so far we have had only a light dusting.  Hope that the weatherman is wrong!  Even though it has been extremely cold here it makes it very easy to get around when there is no snow.

O Little Town of Bethlehem

My first card for Lady Anne's Christmas Challenge.  It is a progressive challenge, the first two digital images we received were from Crafting with Jack.  If we make cards using both of these images, we will receive a further two images for the next months challenge.  If not, we can buy in for one pound.
I colored the image with copics.  DP and the brads are from my stash.  The poinsettia were punched and embossed (no name on the punch).  The poinsettia are bright gold, even though they appear green on my card.

Penlope's Party Wagon

This is a stunning birthday party image from Mo's Digital Pencil!  Mo Manning the artist has such a tremendous number of awesome images!  I have colored the image with copics, adding stickles to her hair, hat and the green on the ground.  The Birthday sentiment is from Netty's Cards.  The designer cardstock is from DCWV .  Using another piece of DCWVs cardstock I cut out the flowers which already had glitter on them and then mounted them on felt flowers from my stash.  I think the green flowers take the place of leaves!

Very cold here, below zero, but only a skiff of snow on the ground so the driving isn't too bad.  I like to stay in on the bitter cold days, so making cards on a day like to-day is just the ticket!

I am entering this card in the following challenges.

The Birthday Queen

This wonderful depiction of three fashionable lady's is a digital image from TLC.  I decided to use it as a birthday card for one of my friends.  It comes complete with sentiment and flourishes. - I colored it with copics, added some stickles to the crown and added a butterfly (EK Success punch).  For the inside I added the following:

This is my first post in a month, do not know where times goes these days, but always something to do.  Made several cards in the last month, but managed to mail them without taking a photo first.  Anyway hope that I can get back into the groove of posting my cards as soon as I have completed them.  I am entering this card in the following challenges.

A Birthday Card for Abbi

Have been away from cardmaking for too long, always seem to be so busy this time of year,    never get to add my Christmas cards to my blog when I should.  Hopefully I will have more time this month and get back to a more normal routine.

Imagine having a birthday between Christmas and New Years.  Made certain Abbi got her card and gifts on the day of!  The image is Sonny Honey Cloud cards and cupcakes from Pollycraft.  Colored with copics and mounted on glittered paper cut out with a Nellie's Frames.  The blue die cut is also from Nellies frames.  The butterflies are cut from an EK Success punch.

From Christmas

This wonderful musical image as from Tickell Expressions.  I used non traditional colors for this Christmas card adding a stamped image from the Stamp Barn called Enchanted Hollow.  Using a copics I added color to the music as well as the angel.   I added fine lace and a row of pearls to the bottom of the card and mounted it to cardstock from my stash.

Still Christmas

This snowman image is from Whoopsi Daisy colored with copics.  Mounted on cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then colored with a white ink pad.  Sentiment and embellishment from my stash.

The images of the homes are  from Whoopsi Daisy sheet 292. The rest of the images are from a stamp from  Morehead stamps.  I colored the images with copics and then cut them all out and mounted them on cardstock embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and lightly sanded.  Cardstock from my stash.

More from Christmas

The next two cards I used an image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  Used a spellbinders die to cut out the image which I had colored with copics.  Mounted it on cardstock using the front and reverse sides.  Added a silver swirl from my stash.

The same image from Digi Stamps for Joy colored a little differently.  Used two metal corners from moments.com.  A punch from Fiskars down one side and a small sticker for a sentiment!

Christmas Cards 2012

These images are all from Sassy Cheryl's.

This image is called Lucy Plays Christmas Tree Dressup!  I thought it was so much fun, I made it in several colors.  I colored the image with copics, used a gold gel pen to add a little sparkle.
Added two stickers the sentiment I popped up and the papers were from my stash.

Think Pink - the same image colored in copics again, this time using a silver gel pen and cutting around the image with a die cut from spellbinders. Added the same die cut in patterned paper and layered it onto the same paper as the second die cut and snow flake cut outs.  Sentiment from my stash.  I used this image again, in blue and in pink - each card a little different - missed taking pictures of all.

This picture is not as bright as it should be took pictures in the evening - not a good idea!  But I did like the end results of the card.  Used pens to color the images and the words.  Mounted it on papers from my stash.

This image called The Tree Trimmers was fun, again I used colored pens, some were glitter pens.  I added a Tim Holtz Fragments tag to the side of the card.  I colored one of the images and pasted it to the back of the tag.  I added two brads and some metallic cord to finish it off.  Christmas papers from my stash.

Good Times

A super digital image from Sassy Studio Design.  I have colored her with copics.  The blue paper had a die cut out of the center, a Spellbinders die.  The Sentiment and the flower are chipboard die cuts from DCWV. The flourishes are pillow stickers from K&Company.  I had printed the image on white card and then I cut it out, not thinking that I would end up putting it back on white card stock.

Having some great weather here for this time of year, certainly makes it easy to get around, hope it continues and we don't get snow anytime soon.

I am entering this card into the http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/prismaandothermediums Twisted Thursday challenge Punches and Dies.

Tea Time

Tea Time is from two very pretty images from Priscilla Styles for the 5th and last CDAC Challenge in this series which ends November 21st.  This is CDACPC23.  I have painted the teapot and cups with Stargazer Pearlescent watercolor in Nova White which appears to be almost silver and quite shiny on the card, but the picture does not capture the shine.  The green & blue are watercolors from Yasutomo.  Both of the Designer  Papers are from K & Company.  The sentiment is also from Priscilla Styles.  The die cut is from Nellie Snellen.  No embellishments because I was happy with it just as it was.  I am entering it into Challenge CDACPC23 - Use this image.

For the Love of Sewing

Pattie's Creations supplied this digital image for the cdacpc22a challenge.  This part of the progressive challenge is only on for a couple more days, so I am kind of late with my entry.  I colored the image with copics, added a couple of buttons which I colored with copics and some pins to the pincushion which I had in my sewing supplies.  The DP is from My Mind's Eye and the sentiment is from DCWV.  I then added Ranger Distress Ink to the DP and the image using three different shades.  The lace was from my stash.

It's been raining here and the winds are fairly strong, but sounds like we might get much worse in the next couple of days.

A card for my grandson turning 19 who does love to fish.  The image is from Digi Stamps for Joy.  I have colored the image with copics, and used a silver Gelly Roll pen from Sakura for the Fishing pole and reel.
The punch is from EK Success.  The fish hooks down the side are from Canadian Tire.  The sentiment is a stamp from Inkadinkado.  And the card stock is from my stash.

Mushrooms from the Forest

What color are mushrooms!  Any pretty color you would like them to be!  This sweet image is from  Digi Stamps for Joy.  I colored the image with copics, and then applied Rangers Glossy Accents all over the image. I mounted it on a die cut from Spellbinders.  Added a strip of DP across the background DP and a ribbon with bow.  I then stuck several pins that I had made into the bow.  This is rather a dark card, but if I have time I will make another in lighter colors.  I am entering this in the CDAC Progressive Challenge 22a and 22b.  And Challenge #53 Digi Stamps for Joy, With a Masculine Twist.

I will have to get moving and get my other cards made, don't know where time goes these days, but the weather has not been too bad lately, not too cold to be out and about.

Music for Teens

I find that making a card for a teenage boy is sometimes quite a chore, but D'Arcy's Diaries has some wonderful images that suit my grandsons to a T.  This image was colored with copics, the DP is from DCWV.  I really like the way the colored circles on the paper sort of framed the image.  The stamp sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo.

Hopefully I will be over this cold soon and will be able to keep up with blogging better than I have over the last few weeks.  My husband is down to one physio session a week from three, so that will free up some time for me.  My curling does start next week, so I will be there Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, did not sign up for competitive curling this year as Norms physio is on the morning they have that.

Pretty Lady

I just loved this image from Anjies Antics from the moment I saw it.  Don't know if I did it justice, but I do like the haughtiness of her raised chin and her beautiful features.  I colored her with copics, mounted the image on black cs and then used the blue for the actual card.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is an Inkadinkado stamp.

Fill Your Shoes

Wow, didn't realize how far behind I was in posting my cards to my blog.  But here I go again to-day.
This is a wonderful digi from Mo Manning, I do love all her images.  I made this card for one of my friends who is the organizer for a group of 15 - we golf together, and have all kinds of get-togethers for everyones birthday during the year, sometimes we celebrate two or three birthdays at the same time if they are all in the same month!  I did not add anything fancy, just let the image speak for itself.  Colored with copics, sentiment was computer generated and the organdy butterfly from Crafts.

Florida Girl

This is another image from Sassy Studios - isn't she gorgeous?  Such a fun image to work with, colored her with copics and popped her up on a google map of Florida.  What could be easier!  Added Sentiment from computer.
This is for my other friend named Alice and she was thrilled with it as she leaves Ontario every winter and goes south to Florida.

Happy Birthday Alice

Image from Sassy Studios, colored with copics.  Ribbon from Crafts, Flowers on side embossed then colored and pink sequin type flowers added to centers.  Sentiment computer generated.
I have two friends named Alice and we celebrate their birthdays together every year.  This card is for the younger Alice!

Soccer Anyone

This is another image from Pollycraft, now sold by Little Miss Muffet.  Simple card to make colored with copics, DP is from K and Company mounted on blue cardstock.  The stars and stripes are a sticker from my stash.  This is for my nephew's son  who just had a birthday.  Daxton is his name and he lives in BC so I don't get to see him too often.  I do hope that he is interested in soccer!

I am entering this into http://littlemissmuffetchallenges.blogspot.ca/search/label/Challenges  Simplicity

Girl in Boots

I just love images of little girls with large eyes!  This one is from Pollycraft which is now being sold by Little Miss Muffet.  Isn't she charming.  The card is for my niece's daughter Sarah who was 10 years old.  I colored her with copics.  The dp is from my stash and I added some mesh and some stickers from Dollarama.  Thought it made a nice bright  card.

Girly Girl Pig

CDACPC21 is an ongoing challenge this cute little image is a free image from Doodle Pantry if you have participated in the last challenge, BUT you can buy in at any time.   I have colored her with copics, added a string bow to her tail.  Framed her, added sentiments and gems from my stash.

Have had a rotten cold and have not added some of my other cards I have made over the last week, so I will have to get busy.

For Justin

This great for a guy image is from D'Arcy's Diaries.  It is so hard to find guy images, but I shopped at D'Arcy's and got a couple, along with some girls of course.  This card is for my grandson Justin who is just turning 17.  The guy in the card looks like he has a lot on his mind, as Justin has had these last few weeks of his summer vacation.  Justin was drafted to play hockey for the Barrie Colts, an Ontario Hockey League Team.  This will mean that he will have to be billeted with a family in Barrie so that he can play hockey and go to school there to get his grade 12.  This is about 100k from where he lives now.
The image is colored with copics.  DP is from Teresa Collins, the tag from Me & my Big ideas.  The sentiment and the stickers Slammer and On The Ice  are from my stash.  I had fun making this card, hope you enjoy it.
I am entering this card into:  Darcy's Diaries Digi Challenge #11  -   Anything Goes

We finally got some rain to-day, so maybe I can get some work done in my garden tomorrow as it is a holiday here. Can't go shopping, and Physio is closed.

Summer & The Tops Down

Another wonderful image from Bugaboo, this time a card for my son, who does drive a convertible in the summer months.  I have colored the image with copics, added some black Peel Offs to frame the image.  The DP is from My Minds Eye and the sentiment was created on the computer.  A few jewels to add some bling.

Keys to the Car

This image is from Bugaboo, so nice to find one that I can use for an older teenager.  I have colored the image with copics, added a Google Map for the background.  The corners are from Time for Crafts and the DP is from my stash.  This card is for one of my grandsons who shares a car with his brother who is a couple of years older.  They do have fun when it comes to who is going to fill the car with gas.

Friends and Wine

These three characters were so much fun to color, the images from Bugaboo are some of my favorites.
In the photo the card looks a little wonky, hope it's just the way I have it on the stand!  I don't think it is quite that crooked.  Colored the images with copics,  adding Glossy Accents to the wine glasses, and the bottles.  The DP is from My Momenta.  The sentiment is from Bugaboo.
My golfing group is having a party tomorrow for one of the group, Ann.  When we go out for dinner, there are usually three or more of the girls that share a liter of wine, and Ann is one of them, so this card seemed to be just right for the occasion.
I won't be at the party, my hubbys last fall left him very unsteady, even with his walker.  He will be going to physio 3 times a week for the next couple of weeks, so I will be home a lot until he improves.  Maybe I will have time to make more cards!

Hot Hot Days of Summer

These wonderful images are from Digi Stamps 4 Joy, by Jen Lee.  This card is for challenge #46, all about the weather where we live!  We have had extremely hot weather for a month or more, with no rain.  The last few days the temperature was more moderate, but to-day was extremely hot again.  We finally got a downpour of rain to-day,  but it is still hot!  The images were colored with copics, the one on the left is Bikini Becky, and the other is Barbecue Barbz; you can buy them both in the Digi Stamps for Joy Store.  The sentiment and the large sun are from my stash.  I colored the sand with copics, and the sky I used a brush and Ranger Distress Ink, tumbled glass.

This is rather last minute as I had company all week and my husband fell again, but this time no broken bones, but I did have to take him to the hospital emerge to be checked out.  Hopefully he will be feeling better in a few days.

TLC Happy Anniversary

This very pretty Happy Anniversary image is from TLC Creations.  I used copics to color the image.  The DP is from Paper Boutique for Scrapbooking.  I stamped small butterflies at the top, the stamp was from Stampin Up.  Added the cover to an off white card.  - A pretty image to color!

Have grandchildren here again this week, so just pop in and out on my computer when I can get a few minutes.  I really do enjoy them, they grow up so fast and then you don't see them as often, but when they stay for a weeks visit you get to know them pretty well.

Alone TIme

This digital image is from Bugaboo!  I made the card for one of my cardplaying girlfriends 75th birthday.  I hosted cards at my house on Thursday, I had made this card on Wednesday.  Anyway, she really loved the card as it reminded her of her grandmother.  When my friend was little her grandmother used to tell her she had dish diahrea, because everytime dishes were being done she had to go to the bathroom.   The image was colored with copics, added some silver pen to the faucet and the silverware and some Glossy Accents to the soap bubbles.  The DP was from My Minds Eye and I added some black Peel Offs around the DP.  The sentiment was also from Bugaboo!

Flowers In Her Hair

This digital image was designed by Jen Lee for Digi Stamps 4 Joy.  Challenge #45 at Digi Stamps 4 Joy is to use Black and white + one other color.  Usually, when making this type of card, I choose red, but just to be different this time - I went for orange!  I think she is so sweet!  Colored her with copics.  Added a Card stock circle of orange, cs scalloped circle which I edged in black, so that it would show up.  Added some black gems from Jolee's.  Used a corner punch on black paper (the punch has no name on it) and then mounted the card behind the corner pieces.

Charlotte Sassy

This very pretty image is from Sassy Studio, it was a free image to celebrate 700 members on Paper Craft Plantet and to start a Progressive relay of four images.  You had to use each image before you got the next one.  My intentions were good but with all my husbands appointments since he returned home, I did not have time to make a card.  So the first chance I got was for my daughter-in- laws birthday.  I colored her with copics, cut out her dress, added silver glitter to a piece of transparency and sealed the glitter between the layers.  The designer paper is from K&Company, the flowers and embellishments from my stash and the sentiment from Peel Offs. (The glare is from the transparency.)

Dog Days of Summer

Isn't this the coolest dog you every did see!  The two winners of the CDAC May Digital Drawing Contest have provided the images for a Members Special Challenge.  This image is from Patties Creations.  I have colored the images with copics, and added Ranger Glossy accents to the glass.
The DP is from My Minds Eye and the Sentiment was computer generated.

Had a wonderful morning played our away game in Lowville to-day - good fun, didn't win any prizes for my golfing, but did manage to win the 50/50 draw.  And we all enjoyed a great lunch.

Leggie Lilly

This wonderful image which I think would be great for any young teen is from Jen Leeflang for Digi Stamps 4 Joy. Love those huge eyes!  I started out by printing her on pink very fine denim dp which I was going to use to paper piece her shorts and top, then I changed my thinking and colored her with copics on that paper.  I added Foil embossed swirls from Forever in Time to the side and her hair, the ones in the hair didn't photograph as well as the side ones.  Used a white Pergamano pen on her eyes and shoes.  Sentiment from Peel Offs and DP from my stash.  This is an entry for CDAC Challenge for the month of June, it is one of two images for the challenge.

Have not been making cards or posting lately as my husband has returned home, a week ago now, after two and a half months - two weeks in hospital and two months in a nearby retirement home in a Back to Home Program, recovering from a broken hip.  He is doing very well, staying on the main floor, using his walker in the house.  He will have to catch up on all his doctors and dentist and other appointments he missed while away.  We have been to a few of these already.

Sunny Honeycloud Card and Cupcake

This image is from Pollycraft, they are closing up shop June the 8th.  But they do have some wonderful bargains on their images until then.  I stuck with the colors of turquoise and greens.  The image is colored with copics. Isn't she a real sweetheart with her big blue eyes! The designer papers are from Stamping Up, except the ovals which along with the flowers and lace are from my stash. The charm is from Blue Moon Jewellry, it does have a turquoise stone in the centre of the flower.  I guess my lighting was not too good when I took the picture this afternoon.  But I took the card with me to a party at dinner tonight to give it to a friend June whose birthday is to-day, June 1st.  So I could not do a retake on the picture of the card.
I am entering this card into the MMMSC138 Challenge.
Raining very hard tonight, but I didn't get too wet running back and forth from my car. We hadn't had rain for several weeks, so really needed it.

Super Cone

This is my last card/tag for CDAC Progresive Challenge 18.  This challenge ends to-morrow.  This delicious looking image is from Pattie's creations.  I have paper pieced the image adding a cherry on top cut from a piece of DP.  The Happiness Stamp is from Stamping Up.  To complete the tag I have added wool fibres.

I have cards at our house tomorrow, so have to go get some groceries at the store for their lunch, do a bit of housecleaning, and if I have time some gardening.  I still go every evening to see my husband,
recovering from his broken hip - he should be home June 14th.  Yipee!

Pool Time

Another card for CDAC Progressive Challenge, this challenge ends May 31st, getting down to the deadline.  This image that makes you want to jump right into that pool is from Sweet Stamping Treats.  Colored with copics, DP, ribbon and sentiment from my stash.  Rosette - first one I ever made, had to make it smaller after putting it all together, next time I will have a better understanding of how it all goes together, and what width to start with.

Banana Split

Now dos'nt this look delicious!  It is an image from Just Some Lines for the CDAC Progressive Challenge #18.  I have colored with copics, Chocolate & butterscotch sauce and pink icecream.  I used Rangers Glossy Accents on the dish and the spoon.  The DP and Sentiment are from my stash.

Just looking at this is making me hungry.

Lone Girl

This image is from Just Some Lines for the CDAC Progressive Challenge 18.  I have colored the image with copics.  Used Nellie Snellen dies to frame her.  The corner punch has no name on it just a patent number.  Only one more day and this challenge will be over.
